How do I change the colour of a cell?

  1. Select the cell(s) that you wish to colour.
  2. Fill colour drop down menu optionsIn the ‘Home’ ribbon, click the ‘Fill Colour’ drop down menu.
  3. Click one of the colours to select it.

How do I add/remove cell borders?

Method One:

  1. Border line drop down menu, line colour options shownIn the ‘Home’ ribbon, click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
  2. Click ‘Line Colour’ and choose a colour.
  3. Click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
  4. Click ‘Line Style’ and choose an option.

  5. Click and drag over the lines you wish to change in look.

Method Two:

  1. In the ‘Home’ ribbon, click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
  2. Click ‘Line Colour’ and choose a colour.
  3. Click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
  4. Click ‘Line Style’ and choose an option.

  5. Escape key on keyboardPress ‘Esc’ on the keyboard to return to the standard cursor.
  6. Borders button, all borders option selectedSelect the cell(s) whose borders you wish to alter.
  7. Click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
  8. Click one of the borders options (bottom,top, left, right, all, outside etc) to activate/deactivate the relevant borders.
