What is my username?

Your username can take a couple of different formats.  For apps and services that support Office 365 standards, your username is the same as your email address.  For other apps and services, for example Moodle, your your username is the part that comes before the "@" symbol.

In situations where more than one person has the same name, we use the initial of your first name.  If there's a third person with the same name, we omit the "." between your initial and the surname.  

My account is locked, how do I unlock it?

If you enter your password incorrectly 10 times your account will lock. This will prevent you logging in for 10 minutes.  Further attempts will only reset the 10 minute timeout.

Wait 10 minutes for your account to unlock.  If that's not possible, contact the ICT Support Team to have your account unlocked.

I've forgotten my password, how can I change it?

All VDI users have access to the Password Portal to reset and unlock their account.

If you forget your password or it has expired, use this portal to reset it.

To maintain server security, passwords should NEVER written down and left on or near the computers or pinned to walls/noticeboards. They should also never be written down next to the username for the account.
