It is always good practice to restart your phone every couple of days and to close down Apps when they are no longer required.

iPhone - How do I sync my contacts?

If you have just made the switch from Android to iPhone you may find your contacts do not automatically copy over.

Step 1: Check Outlook

  1. ON THE PC open Outlook
  2. Click Contacts

If the contacts are showing follow instructions A, if they are not showing follow instructions B.

Instructions A:

On your iPhone

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click Mail
  3. Click Accounts
  4. Click Add Accounts
  5. Choose Microsoft Exchange
  6. Type your email and click Next
  7. Click Sign In
  8. Switch the syncing options off for Mail, Calendars, Reminders and Notes. Leave only Contacts syncing.

INSTRUCTIONS B:

On your OLD phone:

  1. Click Contacts, then click the 3 dots in the corner and choose select all then export this. Use the default name usually contacts.vcf
  2. Attach that file to an email and send it to yourself.

On your iPHONE:

  1. Open the vcf attachment in your email.
  2. Click Share
  3. Click More
  4. Click Contacts

 

Android - How do I sync my contacts or calendar?

When you add your email account to the Outlook app you must give the app permission to access your contacts and sync them to your phone.
