How do I record a meeting?
- Join the meeting as normal.
- Click the ‘More Options’ button in the toolbar.
- Select ‘Start Recording’.
How do I know the meeting is being recorded?
If someone initiates the recording of a meeting you will be notified in a bar at the top of the screen.
- Click ‘Dismiss’ to remove this bar.
Who can record a meeting?
Anyone in the meeting who has logged in with a Key or Lifestyles account can record. As already mentioned, everyone will be notified that recording has begun.
Guest users and people outwith Key/Lifestyles are not able to start a recording.
How do I stop the recording?
Recordings can be stopped manually but they will automatically stop recording after 4 hours or when everyone leaves the meeting.
- Click the ‘More Options’ button in the toolbar.
- Select ‘Stop Recording’.
- Click the ‘Stop Recording’ button to confirm.
Where are my recordings saved?
Recordings are automatically saved on the Microsoft servers. When the meeting ends you will see in the meeting chat that the recording is being uploaded to Microsoft Stream.
Your recording will be saved for a period of 28 days allowing you to view it. After this time it will be automatically deleted.
How do I watch a recording of a meeting?
- Click on the ‘Chat’ button at the left hand side of the Teams window.
- Locate the meeting chat in your list of chats.
- Locate the meeting recording in the chat list and click the menu button (the three dots).
- Click ‘Open’.
Your recording will open in a new browser window.
