What can I do if I send an email to the wrong person?
If you send someone an email by mistake you can try to recall the message. This is not always successful and will fail if the person has already opened/read the message.
Under the Data Protection Act 1972 we must notify the ICO of potential data breaches.
Should you email the wrong person, you must notify Grace Semple as soon as possible to inform her of this error. She will then decide whether this needs reported to the ICO.
All breaches need to be reported to the ICO within 72 hours.

- Click the ‘Actions’ drop down menu in the ‘Move’ section of the ribbon.
- Click ‘Recall this message’.
- Choose whether to only recall the message or recall and replace with a new message.
- Choose whether or not you should be notified if the recall succeeds or fails.
- Click ‘OK’.
