How do I set up Multi Factor Authentication?

1. On any device other than your phone  - In a web browser go to https://aka.ms/setupsecurityinfo (Remember, type this into the address bar at the top, not the search bar).
2. Enter your email address and click ‘Next’.
3. Enter your password and click ‘Next’.
4. Click the ‘Add Method’ button.
5. Choose ‘Authenticator App’ from the method drop down menu.
6. Click ‘Add’.
7. You will be prompted to download and install the Microsoft Authentication app. This should already be installed on work provided phones.  Click ‘Next’.
8. On your phone - Open the Authenticator App.
9. On your phone - Click the 'Plus' sign.
10. On your phone - Choose ‘Work or school account’.
11. On your phone - Click ‘Scan a QR code’. You may need to allow the app access to your camera.
12. Point the camera on your phone at the QR code to scan it and click ‘Next’.

A number will be displayed on screen.

13. On your phone - Open the Authenticator app and type the number displayed on the PC into the box on the phone.
14. On your phone - Click ‘Yes’.
15. You will be notified on screen that the authentication has been approved. Click ‘Next’ to finish the process.
