How do I change the colour of a cell?
- Select the cell(s) that you wish to colour.
- In the ‘Home’ ribbon, click the ‘Fill Colour’ drop down menu.
- Click one of the colours to select it.
How do I add/remove cell borders?
Method One:
- In the ‘Home’ ribbon, click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
- Click ‘Line Colour’ and choose a colour.
- Click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
- Click ‘Line Style’ and choose an option.
- Click and drag over the lines you wish to change in look.
Method Two:
- In the ‘Home’ ribbon, click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
- Click ‘Line Colour’ and choose a colour.
- Click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
- Click ‘Line Style’ and choose an option.
Your cursor will change in look to that of a pencil as illustrated. - Press ‘Esc’ on the keyboard to return to the standard cursor.
- Select the cell(s) whose borders you wish to alter.
- Click the ‘Borders’ drop down menu button.
- Click one of the borders options (bottom,top, left, right, all, outside etc) to activate/deactivate the relevant borders.
