VDI - Why have my shortcuts disappeared and why do I need to log in?

When you log into the VDI, you are usually logged into Microsoft Office, Teams, One Drive, Exclaimer (the software that deals with your email signature) automatically - Single Sign On.  If this doesn't happen you may have to sign into these manually.

  • You may be faced with a Window asking you to sign into Exclaimer.  Click 'Sign In'.  Enter your usual username/password (if prompted).
  • Check you are logged into One Drive - the "blue cloud" icon in the bottom right hand corner, next to the time.  Click this icon, click sign in.  Sign in with your usual username/password combination.
  • On opening Teams and/or any office application - Word, Excel etc.  You may be asked to sign in. Sign in with your usual username/password combination.

if you receive a box telling you there has been an error.  Click 'Continue' it should still have worked!
