VDI - Why has my cursor disappeared?

If your cursor seems to disappear when over a white space in the VDI.  You can resolve this by either resizing the window so its not in "Full screen" or by changing to to a black cursor.  This is an issue between Horizon Client and Windows and not an issue with your equipment.

  1. Windows button, mouse colour setting in start menuIn the VDI click the Windows/Start button.
  2. Type 'Mouse Colour'.
  3. Click 'Change mouse pointer colour' when displayed.
  4. Black mouse cursor selectedChoose the black mouse cursor.

I’ve got a security warning - How do I sort this?

VMWare Error MessageYou should always log out the VDI session to ensure that it closes down properly. If you fail to log out properly you may find that the next time you try to log in, the server will attempt to connect you to the session that has been left ‘hanging’ in the background. It will then display a security/error warning.

Phone the ICT Helpdesk to have this session removed, allowing you to log into a fresh PC.
