If you are having continuous connection issues to the Vodafone network a 'Manual Roam' might help this. Check with ICT before trying this.
A manual roam refreshes your connection to the network and can also resolve network issues, such as being unable to make/receive calls or send text messages/emails.
- Click the 'Settings' app.
- Click 'Mobile Service'.
- Click 'Network selection'.
- Click the 'Manual' box.
- Select the box next to the non-Vodafone carrier.
- Select a different network (if this is unsuccessful, you will receive an error message which will be similar to 'SOS calls only' or 'No Service').
When you lose signal, go back and tick the box next to ‘automatic’ in the carrier select box - this will return you to Vodafone or your preferred Network. You may need to complete a manual roam 2 to 3 times, if the issue persists.
