If you do not log off your VDI session properly you may experience problems when you log back in.
Never use the cross to close your VDI session. If you are experiencing any issues when logged into the VDI, log out. When you log back in, you are given a fresh PC.
If you close your session without logging out, you will reconnected to your old session and will encounter the same issues. You may also experience an issue when reconnecting which you are unable to resolve without calling the ICT Helpdesk.
If your session gets disconnected you have 30 minutes to log back to prevent any unsaved data being lost.
Click the ‘Windows’ icon in the bottom left corner.
- Click the ‘User Account’ icon.
- Click ‘Sign out’. Depending on the Windows colour theme used, the Sign out option maybe difficult to see.
The virtual PC will shut down and you will be returned to your PC desktop.
