VDI stands for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and is a technology which allows you to log into a “virtual PC” on a centralised server to work. When you are working in the VDI all processes are completed on the main servers in Glasgow.
Use the ‘VMWare Horizon View Client’ to access the server located in Glasgow.
Before connecting to the VDI you should read the ICT Policy.
If you connecting via WiFi in the The Square or Kerr Street, ensure you are connected to either KEYCORP or LIFE-MAIN networks. Other WiFi networks are not permitted access to the VDI for security reasons.
