You can only open a mailbox you have permission to view. Email ictsupport@key.org.uk when you no longer require access to a particular mailbox.
The more mailboxes you have open:
- the longer it will take to start Outlook each time - Outlook synchronises all changes in all mailboxes each time Outlook is started.
- the larger your Outlook file becomes. In some cases this can cause a detrimental effect on the speed of Outlook.
Only the last 3 months email will be shown. For older emails you will need to open the mailbox in the Outlook Web App.
When you have been given permission to a mailbox it should automatically display the next time you start Outlook. If it doesn’t you may need to manually add it.
Click File.
The ‘Info’ window should be displayed.Click ‘Account Settings’.
- Click ‘Account Settings’.
Click ‘Change’.
Click ‘More Settings’.
Click the ‘Advanced’ tab.
- Click ‘Add’.
Type the name of the person whose calendar you want to open.
If only one match exists, this account will be selected. If more than one is matched, select the appropriate name from the list provided.
- Click ‘OK’.
- Click ‘Next’.
- Click ‘Done’.
- Click ‘Close’.
