If you send someone an email by mistake you can try to recall the message. This is not always successful and will fail if the person has already opened/read the message. You can only recall messages sent internally ie it will work if the message has been sent to an @Key or @theadvisorygroup address Any recall of external messages will fail.
Under the Data Protection Act 1972 we must notify the ICO of potential data breaches within 72 hours.
Should you email the wrong person, you must notify Glenn Harrold or Jennifer Boyle immediately.
- Open the message your wish to be recalled.
Click the ‘More Move Actions’ button and choose ‘Recall this message’.
Choose whether to only recall the message or recall and replace with a new message and whether you want notified if the recall succeeds or fails.
- Click ‘OK’.
