If you send someone an email by mistake you can try to recall the message. This is not always successful and will fail if the person has already opened/read the message.
Under the Data Protection Act 1972 we must notify the ICO of potential data breaches.
Should you email the wrong person, you must notify Glenn Harrold immediately. He will then decide if this needs reported to the ICO. All breaches need to be reported to the ICO within 72 hours.
- Open the message your wish to be recalled.
Click the ‘More Move Actions’ button and choose ‘Recall this message’.
Choose whether to only recall the message or recall and replace with a new message and whether you want notified if the recall succeeds or fails.
- Click ‘OK’.
