Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions we receive about the Key provided iPhones.
- NO settings should be altered.
- The camera should be used for business purposes only. Remember GDPR applies to images as well as text. Delete the images when they are no longer required
- An Apple Store account has been created. Although the App Store is accessible, only corporate approved apps can be downloaded. This ensures apps in use comply with GDPR.
- Phone lock code. Each time you use your phone you will need to enter your passcode, use fingerprint recognition (iPhone SE) or face ID (iPhone 13). Do not store a note of your passcode with the phone. If you lose your phone and the passcode is stored with the phone, information on it can be accessed by anyone. The ICO would have to be notified of this possible data breach.
- On your lock screen you will be shown email and messaging notifications but the full message will not be displayed. Unlock your phone to view the message. Should you lose your phone and the full notification be displayed, sensitive/personal information may be displayed. Depending on the information displayed, this could be considered a data breach and have to be reported to the ICO
- When you receive your phone a cover will have been provided. You can change this if you wish, at your own expense, but it must remain protected by a cover/case. You may be charged for damage to the equipment if the cover has been removed.
