With Outlook email displayed, click the icon in the top left to show the menu. Usually your initials.
Click the ‘Settings’ button in the bottom left.

Click ‘Automatic Replies’.

Switch on the automatic reply using the toggle switch for the appropriate accounts (should you have more than one).

Ensure the ‘Reply to everyone’ option is selected.

Use the ‘Reply during a time period’ if you wish to set this for a future date/time.

Click on the ‘Reply Inside My Organisation With’ and type your message.

Do the same for the ‘Reply Outside My Organisation’ option.

Click the ‘Tick’ in the top right hand corner to save your changes.
To switch it back off:
If you’ve used the ‘Reply during a time period’ option they will switch off automatically at the specified time. To manually switch it off follow one of the two methods below.
In Outlook, click ‘Turn off’ in the bar at the top of the screen.
Confirm you wish to switch them off.
