If you find the phone doesn’t ring when you receive a call, you may have switched on the ‘Do Not Disturb’ function on your phone. You may also want to check the ring volume.
Open the Settings app.
Click ‘Sound’.
If ‘Do Not Disturb’ is showing ‘On’, click it.
Click ‘Turn Off Now’.
If you find that the phone rings for some contacts, not others or during a specific time. You may have some exceptions to ‘Do Not Disturb’ switched on. For example, contacts can interrupt the ‘Do Not Disturb’, but unknown numbers cannot. The phone can ring during a specific time frame, but not others.
Switch off ‘Do Not Disturb’ following the instructions above or check for exceptions:
Open the ‘Settings’ app.
Click ‘Sound’.
Click ‘Do Not Disturb’.
Check the ‘People’, ‘Apps’, ‘Alarms and other interruptions’ and ‘Schedules to check and amend your exceptions.
