All absence should be logged on Evolve. For guidance on checking an absence record click here
1. Click on 'Log Absence'
2. The following screen will now be presented to you
All fields must be filled in.
Staff Member: Click on the arrow to the right of the box, a list of support worker names will appear that is ordered by surname. The support workers home team is recorded next to their name in brackets.
Category:
Start Date: This is the first date of the absence. A calendar will appear by clicking the 3 small dots to the right of the text box, or you can enter the date manually. Please use the DD/MM/YYYY format.
End Date: This is the last date of the absence. A calendar will appear by clicking the 3 small dots to the right of the text box, or you can enter the date manually. Please use the DD/MM/YYYY format.
Total Number of Hours: Total number of hours that the support worker will be taking over the period of absence being logged.
3. To complete logging this instance of absence, click ‘Next’
4. Once the process has run, you will be presented with 2 options
a. ‘Go to Rota’
Clicking on this link will take you to the support workers home team. You can then navigate to the date the absence has been applied and check that it has been applied correctly.
b. ‘Return to Homepage’
Clicking on this link will return you to the Homepage
Deleting Absence
If you log absence incorrectly you must delete every slot of absence from the rota. If you do not delete all of the absence this will result in the support worker being paid incorrectly
To remove absence from the Rota
1. Double click on the absence slot, the following screen will appear. Click on the delete icon that is highlighted at the top of the following image
2. To confirm the deletion of this absence slot from the rota the following message will appear, this will only delete the absence from the date stated. Click on OK, if you are sure that this is the date you wish to delete
3. Step 1 and 2 must be repeated for each day you want to delete absence from. Once this has been deleted. You must then go back and re-apply the absence via the Log Absence link on the home page.
Note: If a long period of absence needs to be removed then please contact the Evolve Team with the following information and they will remove the absence for you to enable you to re-apply from the home page link. Support worker name Team name Absence start date Absence end date |
